Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation
Extraordinary Is is a social marketing campaign and movement created by the Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation. The foundation was established in 2013 by Thasunda Brown Duckett, CEO of JPMorgan Chase Auto Finance in honor of her parents, Otis and Rosie Brown.
The Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation is a private charitable organization dedicated to helping underserved families across North Texas. The Foundation was inspired by the family’s believe that extraordinary things can be done with ordinary resources. The Foundation was created to advance the legacy of Otis and Rosie Brown who instilled in their children a recognition that all things are possible through love and stewardship and a belief that all have the duty to extend a hand to help lift our fellow man.
The Foundation focuses on facilitating access to community resources, supporting students’ academic pursuits specifically in the areas of increasing college attendance and graduation rates, as well as, promoting overall improvement of the emotional well-being of youth and families in the communities served.
Our mission is to highlight extraordinary people, organizations and corporations who utilize ordinary resources to enhance the well-being of individuals, families and communities.
Our vision is to connect families to resources in the local North Texas community, foster academic engagement and excellence, and partner with local organizations to more effectively meet the needs of today’s vulnerable children and families.
