Otis “Jamaal” Brown

Extraordinary Is OJ Brown
Otis “Jamaal” Brown is known to most for his love of the game of basketball. A love which afforded him opportunities to attend and play four years at The Ohio State University, professionally for a year and a half in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and later taking his talent to the European Basketball Leagues for an additional six years. A love not easily shaken, OJ shifted his focus from the physical act of basketball to mentoring, training and coaching youth to pursue their dreams on the court and in the classroom. Driven by the motto, “Have a Plan B” to work it if your initial plan does not work helped him to follow this passion upon returning to Arlington after 20+ years. He organized a program with the mission to educate, equip, and empower students with necessary tools to succeed in the classroom and life. The program goal is to recruit students with the interest in competitive basketball, teach life lessons and cultivate talents, which lead to setting and achieving lifetime goals and producing leaders to lead their generation. He currently is an employee of Pepsi-Co/Frito-Lay and resides in Mesquite, Texas.
