Otis and Rosie Brown, married for 40 years, have used ordinary means to accomplish extraordinary impact in their local community. Rosie Brown, a retired teacher, taught for Dallas Independent School District for 30-years. She went above and beyond to ensure the students she served received an extraordinary education, a nurturing environment and the tools they needed to build a bright a future. Her philosophy has always been to positively impact the lives of children, give them hope, encourage them, and make a positive difference in their lives. Rosie believes teachers may only have one shot to make a difference. Otis Brown retired from Xerox in 2015 where he worked for 41 years to provide for his family. For 30 years, Otis supported youth from the neighborhood and mentored young athletes who grew to become successful leaders, professionals, husbands and fathers. Together, Otis and Rosie Brown raised three children and today have seven grandchildren. The Otis and Rosie Brown Foundation was created because this caring couple helped to inspire and change the lives of countless others using ordinary resources.
